Winterhaven Hotel

This Art Deco jewel was built in 1939 and is located directly across the street from the Atlantic Ocean in Miami. WinterHaven offers South Beach rarities such as refined and tasteful surroundings and a quiet corner location.

The hotel was designed by famous Art Deco architect, Albert Anis.

The WinterHaven opened in 1939 and was advertised as an ultra modern hotel with large outside rooms, a sky top solarium, spacious lobby and mezzanine, a large veranda overlooking the ocean, and USD 1 per night rates. The recent restoration has preserved everything except the USD 1 per night rates.

The Art Deco interior is stylish yet understated to allow the architecture to shine. Decorative details such as the ornate Chinese mirrored panels, and the etched glass recessed wall panels were meticulously restored.

Exact replicas were made of the original chandeliers, sconces, and maple and mirror registration desk. A new wood and glass bar curves along one wall.

Most of the guest rooms feature ocean views. All guest rooms are decorated in custom designed Art Deco style furniture upholstered in soothing tones of soft green, ginger and cream.
The WinterHaven Martini Bar is open daily from 16:30 until 23:00.

The downtown Miami business district, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Miami International Airport are all within a 15 to 20 minute drive.
