Housed in an elegant 19th century villa that later served as the British consulate when Florence was the Italian capital, this hotel offers a peaceful English-style garden in which to relax.

The area around the hotel is peaceful, yet you will only be a 10-minute walk from the fabulous Duomo and only slightly further from the Fortezza da Basso, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria. With easy access from the Florence ring road and on-site parking, you can leave the car here.

The simple yet spacious bedrooms are equipped with antique furniture and carefully selected textiles, providing a comfortable family atmosphere. Some of them even have frescoed ceilings.

The area around the hotel contains some of Florence's less well-known monuments, but which are still definitely worth a look. For example you could visit the Monastery of Saint Marco, containing the most important works of Beato Angelico. Close by are also Piazza SS. Annunziata (a famous Renaissance square), the archaeological museum, the Jewish synagogue and the Jewish cemetery.

The hotel can be reached in 5 minutes in taxi or bus from the central Santa Maria Novella train station.
When arriving by bus no. 31 or no. 32, you get off at Piazza Azeglio. You the walk through the park an you enter Via Alfieri. We are at no. 18.
