Description
Situated in a picturesque neighbourhood in Amsterdam's city centre, alongside the Keizersgracht -the most beautiful canal of the city- lays hotel The Toren.
Whoever wants to be treated to a unique and memorable stay in Amsterdam should stay at The Toren: elegantly designed interior combined with the beautiful surroundings, the hotel has been designed with your pleasure in mind!
The Toren is prominently placed amongst the grand 17th century canal houses of the Keizergracht. All of Amsterdam's cultural, historical and modern attractions are within walking distance, or easily reached by tram or bike. Being a few streets back from the hustle and bustle ensures a welcome peacefulness for a good night's rest.
Well known interior designer, Wim van de Oudeweetering took charge of creating a chic, theatrical and slightly mystical ambience. The 38 guest rooms are all different and vary from small and elegant to spacious and stunningly beautiful. The choice of room resides with the guests; all will find, however, a hotel atmosphere which inspires feelings of relaxation and well being.
The management and staff of The Toren resolutely strive to make all guests feel at home. Upon entering this magnificent hotel, you will see that hospitality is top of the list, with true commitment to service being a priority. "We aim to fulfil your requirements 24 hours a day, wherever possible". Whether this means bringing a bottle of champagne to your room, recommending places to go out or preparing breakfast according to your personal taste, Toren staff are there to help you.
All rooms are provided with various facilities including, but not limited to, a flat screen TV with digital entertainment system, WIFI Internet connection and modem connection. The Superior and Deluxe Rooms also have a desk in the room.
Within less than a 5-minute walk lie the Dam square with its Royal Palace, the National Monument, shopping mall Magna Plaza, the Bijenkorf department store, the Berlage Exchange and a little further away, the infamous Red Light district. The convivial and picturesque Jordaan district lies a stone's throw away, as does the impressive Anne Frank Huis.
There are plenty of trams that will take you in no time to the Concertgebouw, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and Amsterdam's most luxurious shopping street: P.C. Hooftstraat.
