Description
A luxurious 4 Star Deluxe City Centre hotel The Midland is one of the most historic and famous landmarks in Manchester. Standing proud in the heart of the city since 1903, The Midland has an unrivalled reputation for elegance, luxury, high standards of cuisine and customer service.
Close to Manchester's public transport networks, only 10 miles from Manchester Airport and near to a multitude of shopping and tourist opportunities, the location of the Midland is ideal.
There are two restaurants including the double AA Rosette winning French Restaurant - the place to see and be seen in Manchester. For guests wanting to relax or workout there is also a health club with swimming pool, gym and squash court.
The Midland is also within walking distance of the Bridgewater Opera House, the Palace Theatre and the GMEX Centre, ensuring that it offers easy access to a whole range of events.
There is no parking available on site. Parking is available at an additional cost at the Manchester Central NCP car park (previously known as the GMEX).
All of the rooms are stylish, comfortable and well equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base. Whether you are exploring the city as a tourist or visiting on business, the comfortable, peaceful rooms provide a relaxing haven.
The hotel's award-winning French restaurant is open from 19:00 to 22:30, Monday to Saturday. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Colony Restaurant, which is open from Monday to Sunday. No carvery (buffet dinner) option is available at present.
Room service is available 24 hours a day.
The city boasts stunning historical buildings such as The Town Hall and the Cathedral. Yet mixes this with the contemporary regeneration of the commercial heart of the city and the nearby Salford Quays.
The tram, train and bus network in Manchester make it easy for visitors to navigate around the city and see every attraction it holds including its two famous football clubs, Manchester United and Manchester City.
A visit to Salford Quays is a must and the famous Lowry Museum is resplendent in silver and has something of the air of Bilbao's Guggenheim Museum. There are two auditoria, the Lowry galleries and bars and restaurants.
We are located one mile from Piccadilly Station and adjacent to St Peters Square Tram stop. Follow the Brown Tourist signs for the G-Mex Centre on the a5103. Parking is available at a nearby NCP car park.
