The Halkin offers 41 smoke-free, air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which share a sleek, cosseting aesthetic, featuring cool taupes, creams and beige crafted by Italian designer Edith Leschke of Milanese studio Laboratorio Associati. Each floor, differently inspired, explores a subtle palette drawn from water, air, earth, fire and sky.

Personal shopper services can also be organised. The Halkin has an intimate bar in the marble lobby, which is popular for discrete meetings throughout the day.

Nahm, the Halkin's restaurant, is Michelin-starred - avant-garde, tantalizing, with sophisticated Thai cuisine by award-winning Australian chef, David Thompson. The only Michelin starred Thai restaurant in Europe is quite simply an inimitable experience - for serious gourmets who value originality and inspired creativity. Cuisine is based on ancient royal Thai traditions, spiced by Thompson's artful hand, with sophisticated menus available for lunch and dinner, and unobtrusive, efficient service.

There is a gym, steam room and sauna at the COMO Shambhala Health Club at the sister hotel Metropolitan London, 500 metres away on Park Lane, free of charge to Halkin guests. Spa treatments and massage are also available for a surcharge. Hyde Park, 300 metres from the hotel, has running, cycling and skating paths and horse riding tracks.
