Description
A four-storey hotel with interior design by Anouska Hempel, the Dylan Amsterdam is housed in a 17th century townhouse located on the Keizersgracht canal, three blocks from both Dam Square and the Anne Frank House museum.
The 41 guestrooms feature a blend of European and Oriental styles, with bold colour schemes, Oriental furniture and potted orchids. Many of the guestrooms in the original 17th century building have four-poster beds, exposed beams, and floor-to-ceiling drapes.
Guestrooms in the 1999 extension have DVD players, and are accessed via ultra-minimal white corridors. All are equipped with CD players, satellite TV, wireless Internet, and minibars.
The award-winning restaurant is located in an 18th century bakery with garden views. French cuisine is served complemented by wines from the cellar.
The Dylan has a fitness centre, a massage service and a garden with terrace. There is a lounge and bar to relax. All major sights are within walking distance. Trams, buses and metro stops are only minutes away.
Cycling is one of Amsterdam's most popular forms of transportation, and the hotel has a limited number of bicycles for rent. In winter, an ice-skating rink is created in Dam Square, four blocks from the hotel.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is 18 kilometres away and can be reached by car in approximately 25 minutes.
