The Alex

The Alex is located in New York City, N.Y., in east Midtown Manhattan. Park Avenue and the United Nations headquarters building are two blocks from the hotel. Grand Central Station is within four blocks. Times Square and the Broadway Theater District are six blocks away.

The lobby decor features blooming orchids and a fireplace. Riingo restaurant and bar, serving a blend of American and Japanese cuisine for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, calls the hotel its home. Riingo offers a private wine room and a sidewalk café.

Limousine and town car services are available. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas. The on-site fitness center features cardiovascular and weight training equipment, balance balls, stretch mats, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and flat-screen televisions.

The Alex is three blocks from the Art Deco-style Chrysler Building. The 1,046-foot structure was built in 1928; one year later, the spire was added.
