Description
Newly renovated, this landmark 15-storey building was designed by architect Leland Bryant in 1929, serving as a residence for everyone from Errol Flynn, Claudette Colbert, John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and Howard Hughes.
With its chic restaurant, fabulous spa, and unrivaled views of Los Angeles, the exceptional environment of the Sunset Tower Hotel offers its guests every comfort and amenity.
Originally called the Sunset Tower and built as a distinctly Hollywood version of Art Deco, the hotel is now equipped with the latest electronic conveniences, providing the ultimate in privacy and elegance.
Tucked away inside one of Hollywood's most recognized architectural land-marks, the Salon & Spa transports patrons back to an era of impeccable service and style.
An enclosed Mediterranean terrace radiating grace and elegance, the Salon & Spa is home to some of the most celebrated international stylists, aestheticians, therapists, and med-spa practitioners.
The superb accommodations come with stylish custom fittings, romantic lighting and artwork creating a subtly luxurious feeling.
A cozy rendezvous inspired by early Hollywood, the Tower Bar and Restaurant offers an elegant haven for the discerning.
Designed by internationally renowned decorator Paul Fortune, the Tower Bar is the chicest and most welcoming room in town, with a fireplace and discreet niche seating for privacy. Housed in Bugsy Siegel's old apartment on the ground floor, the 80-Seat room is ably administered by Maître d' Dimitri Dimitrov, widely hailed as the city's best. While the cuisine takes its inspiration from northern Italy and the French bistro, the overall accent is distinctly Californian, with a focus on fresh local ingredients.
Adjoining the tower Bar is the Terrace, a Casual-Dress poolside café with unique indoor/outdoor setting and incredible sweeping views of the city.
Whether nestling in chic poolside cabanas, or seated on the covered travertine lanai, the Terrace is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or just come for a drink and soak in the spectacular view and old Hollywood ambiance. The Terrace serves the Tower Bar menu in addition to a selection of small plate appetizers. It is also available for private events with a separate entrance.
The Sunset Tower is conveniently located on the famous Sunset strip only minutes away from Rodeo drive and Universal Studios.
