Riad Maison Bleue & Spa

The Riad Maison Bleue is a 19th century Arabo-Andalusian house which offers an authentic and cosy atmosphere and boasts one of the city's best restaurants. Occupying a 19th Century house, the hotel was once home to the famous Moroccan philosopher Aziz Lahbabi, nominated for the Nobel Prize in 1987, who was born and grew up there.

Today, the hotel consists of three interconnecting courtyards where guests feel as though they are walking through the laneways of the ancient Medina of Fès. The main open courtyard is built in the Arabo-Andalusian style (Merinid Dynasty) and contains a swimming pool and fruit trees.

The eleven deluxe rooms and two standard rooms of the Riad are all decorated with traditional zellige tiles, sculpted wood, Andalusian ceilings and antique furniture. Three terraces offer breathtaking views of the different aspects of the Medina. When the weather is warm, you can enjoy the Moroccan meals on these terraces. In winter, the restaurant, set up in the covered courtyard provides the setting where you will taste the traditional home cooked dishes.

The Maison Bleue’s Spa is one of the city’s best: there's a traditional Hammam, a black soap scrub and Oriental beauty treatments. A fitness center as well as a swimming pool is also offered.

The Riad Maison Bleue is located in the Medina near the Azliten square, and 2min away from the Medersa Bouananya. The Riad's location will allow you to visit the main monuments of the city. From this location, you will enjoy the famous "Porte Bleue", Dar Batha, the Moulay Ismaïl mausoleum as well as the Merinides tombs.
