Description
Riad Aya is a warm, dignified and authentic Morrocan guesthouse nestled in the heart of Marrakesh's medina that offers wonderful food, blissful calm, and a warm welcome. Its eight spacious rooms surround a scented patio which contains a traditional Morrocan lounge, perfect for having a mint tea or a cool drink, two additional lounges with fireplaces, and a dining room.
This ambience of this indoor oasis is enhanced by intricately carved and reassuringly ancient wooden doors, extremely comfortable sofas, tall plants and typical lights handcrafted in the Medina itself. The subtlety and discreetness of Riad Aya is made special by the warm welcome of the staff.
The rooms, named after spices, open onto a tree-lined patio and feature the subtlety of décor which is typical of Marrakesh. The adjoining living rooms, furnished with low chairs, a table and sofa allow you to unwind in your own intimate space.
Varying room colours and décor confer a unique atmosphere on each room and the use of net curtains make the rooms more delicate and intimate.
Spiced, exotic aromas from Riad Aya's kitchen will whet your appetite for some authentic Morroccan dishes, of which the staff are justifiably proud. Brightly coloured and beautifully presented tajine, couscous and broad bean dishes are served in the intimate and informal setting of the patio or on the terrace.
A delicious mint tea and pastries, a perfect way to finish dinner, can be served at any time of the day. A swimming pool and a relaxing hammam bath completes the offer.
Riad Aya is located near the eastern Bab Doukkala gate about 10 minutes walk northwest of Jemaa El Fna square.
