Palazzo Abadessa is set in a refined Venetian relays of the 16th century, situated in the heart of the city in a very typical area near Ca D'Oro.
Each and every detail in Palazzo Abadessa gives the sensation of stepping back in time, to the era of the glory and splendour of the Venetian Marine Republic. The palace overlooks the S. Sofia canal and has a private docking place.
The hotel is ideally located behind the beautiful museum Ca d' Oro, across the Grand Canal from the Rialto Market and at walking distance from St. Mark Square, on a route scattered with the finest shops in Venice.
Enjoy a warm welcome in the atrium with marble flooring, a painted ceiling and polychrome windows with leaded glass that look out onto the canal. On the opposite side there is a magnificent embracing kind of staircase that leads to the first floor of the building.

Palazzo Abadessa is certified as a Period Palace by the Province Authorities and the Monuments and Fine Arts Office of Venice. The building has been residence of Doge Priuli family (former rulers of the Venetian Republic).

Rooms are furnished with original antique furniture from the 18th century, Murano glass lamps, antique Venetian mirrors and damasked silk wallpaper. The ceilings are decorated with stucco and frescos from the 16th century that have been perfectly preserved, while the flooring is in Venetian style or in engraved wood. Some spacious and bright rooms look out onto Rio di Santa Sofia, others on the Campiello Priuli or the splendid private garden.
Palazzo Abadessa provides 3 types of rooms: Palazzo Room and Palazzo Suites suitable for up to 4 guests, the President Suite suitable up to 5 guests.
