Description
This intimate, boutique hotel, set in a listed Georgian townhouse, offers you stylish accommodation in a quiet residential street, just a short walk from some of London's leading thoroughfares.
With just 16 bedrooms, the hotel is small enough to be cosy and welcoming, yet also offers all the amenities you would associate with a much larger hotel.
As Christine Samuelian of the Globe and Mail notes, "with comfy sofas, gorgeous lighting and lush textiles, the hotel is very much designed like a home". The Times too lavished praise on the hotel, remarking that "the owners have contrasted the original townhouse features with sleek modern décor to good effect".
The hotel's rooms effortlessly and effectively blend the features of an original townhouse with sleek modern furnishings. The muted cream, brown and beige colour scheme is particularly alluring. The hotel's accommodation encompasses modern freestanding baths, counter-top basins, large table lamps and dark, wooden cabinets, as well as flat screen TVs, giving it a distinctly designer feel. Bathrooms are stocked with Molton Brown toiletries and free bottled water. Some rooms have restored, original fireplaces.
The business traveller has not been forgotten either. All rooms are equipped with workstations offering free high-speed internet access. DVD players, and a range of movies, can be borrowed for free from reception.
As a hotel guest you can enjoy special rates at a gym, just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. Montagu Place has a meeting room, which is ideal for small business meetings or training events.
An extensive continental breakfast buffet is served between 07:00 and 10:00 (Monday to Friday) and between 08:00 and 11:00 at weekends. Only the freshest produce, including organic and Fair Trade items are served.
A complete range of international dishes are offered for room service between 12:00 and 23:00.
The hotel's intimate bar is open 24 hours a day.
