Locanda Il Melone

Borgo Il Melone is a 3-hectare complex offering rooms and apartments set in pretty gardens. Tuscan countryside surrounds the estate and Cortona is just a 5-minute drive away.

In the 19th century the Borgo Il Melone hamlet consisted of a manor house and farm buildings. These have now been beautifully restored, but are still surrounded by fruit orchards, vineyards and olive groves.

Now Borgo Il Melone's peaceful grounds are also home to a large swimming pool, which comes complete with a Jacuzzi area, changing rooms and showers and a lifeguard. There is also a poolside bar here.

Relax in spacious, well-decorated accommodation, whether in independent apartments which can accommodate up to 6 people or in hotel rooms in Borgo Il Melone's main building.

There is a restaurant and a wine bar on site and in summer weekly concerts and wine-tasting events are organised. Borgo Il Melone's restaurant serves local cuisine.

A variety of exciting activities can be organised at Borgo Il Melone, from cooking classes and pottery courses to rafting, horse-riding and cruises on Trasimeno Lake.

Borgo Il Melone's pool is open from mid-May to the end of September.

From June to September Borgo Il Melone has a full concert programme, with classical and jazz music.

Breakfast is served outside in summer and in the tavern from April to September.

Borgo Il Melone's restaurant is open from 12:30 to 14:30 and 19:30 to 21:30, every day except Tuesday.
