Astonishingly beautiful and authentic, Gordes has been classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France for the past fourteen years. The white or grey dry stone walls of the houses spiral up around the rock on which the village as built with the church and Château of Gordes crowning the whole. A magnificent panorama lies below you over the valley and the Lubéron montain range.

A superb ****-mansion has been erected here with all the traditional charm of the 3,000 year old dry stone buildings, used in days past by the shepherds and known as "Bories".

In total we have 34 luxurious rooms and 2 apartments.

A subtle harmony of Provence flavours and traditions in a gourmet restaurant where the Chef will introduce you to or remind you of these traditional flavours with his refined and innovating cuisine coloured by the local specialities, in the warm and intimate atmosphere of an original "Borie" decor.

Langoustine crunch with tasty violet Artichoke matchsticks. Fillet of John Dory cooked flat, Pan-fried baby Courgettes marinated with chives.
Tender morsel of Pike Perch in a crunchy jacket, on a Bohemian vegetable medley, tasty concentrated gravy.
Loin of Lamb braised in "La Cataplana" on a bouquet of Garrigue Herbs, Mushroom Macaroni.
Vendée duckling cooked in a sealed Casserole like in days past, baby Potatoes with morsels of fat ham.
Pure runny chocolate "Ambush", iced Grand Marnier cream. Baked Chery crumble flaboured with spices, iced apple cream.

With a visit to the fortress housing the Town Hall and the museum devoted to Pal Mara, a contemporary painter, in the fascinating village of Bories. Be sure not to miss the very beautiful and famous XIIth century Abbaye de Sénanques situated in a lush green valley, where the Cistercian monks produce honey, liqueurs and lavender essence, or the Château de Gordes, Saint Firmin Church, the stained glass and glass museum, or the Moulin de Bouillons mill.

Not forgetting of course the many little villages typical of southern France which you can visit, such as L'Isle sur la Sorgue, fontaine de Vaucluse, Baux de Provence, Roussillon, Saint Rémy de Provence where you can take participate in a number of exhibitions

Access
By road: leave the A7 at Cavaillon, take the N100 toward APT and turn off at Gordes.
Take the D177 on the left before the village of Gordes, towards the Abbaye de Sénanque.
Les Bories is 2 km futher on.
