Hotel Straf

Located only few steps from the Duomo cathedral, the hotel is placed at the core of Milan, within easy walking distance of the fashionable Via Montenapoleone, the shopping districts and La Scala Opera house.

An inspired fusion of Italian fashion, original design and elegance, the hotel combines minimalist design and classic Italian architecture for a truly unique stay.

The architect Vincenzo De Cotiis, a fashion designer of haute collections, has used an eclectic mix of materials, including scratched mirrors, burnished brass, iron, black stone and cement to create the distinctive interior of the hotel.

Hotel Straf is housed in the famous Giachi-Amman building (1883). The exterior retains its original appearance, but the hotel interior was renovated in 2003 in a completely different style: modern and minimal, a mix of art and materials blended to create a unique contemporary work of art.

For complete relaxation during your stay, the hotel offers a 24-hours gym and, in some rooms, Japanese massage chairs and aromatherapy treatments.

All rooms boast different pictures, paintings and installations created by the architect Vincenzo de Cotis.
Rooms are rendered entirely original by their categories and by the materials used: the rooms have cement or slate floor, and bathrooms in burnished brass or slate with white or black WC.

Several rooms have a massage chair and a corner to make chromo-therapy and aromatherapy. Other rooms have a corner with a massage shiatsu chair.

The suites have 2 balconies with views of the Duomo Cathedral, and the bath in the bathroom has a view of the balcony.

The Hotel Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. It is closed for dinner.

A continental buffet breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:30.
Lunch is served in the restaurant and in the Straf Bar from 12:30 until 14:30.

The Straf Bar is open until 00:30. Happy hour is available daily from 18:00 until 21:00.
A light dinner is offered at the Straf Bar until 22:30.
Room service is available 24-hours, at an additional cost.

The Hotel is in the centre of Milan, just a few steps away from the Duomo Cathedral, the main fashion streets, museums and most important attractions, including: Castello Sforzesco; Santa Maria delle Grazie and Ultima Cena by Leonardo da Vinci; Palazzo Reale; Teathre alla Scala; and restaurants, bars and clubs.

From Linate Airport:
- Catch bus Number 73 to the centre and get off at San Babila stop. The Hotel is 150 metres from the stop.
- Alternatively, take a taxi for approximately EUR 25.

From Malpensa Airport:
- Catch the Malpensa Express Train to Cadorna Station and the MM2 Green Metro to Duomo.
- Once at Cadorna Station it is also possible to catch a taxi (the approximate cost is EUR 15).

By Train:
From Central Station take the MM3 Yellow Metro to the Duomo.
The Metro stop Duomo is just 50 metres from the hotel.
