Description
Is it the history of this building, formally dedicated to the administration of the Order of Saint Vincent de Paul? Or its location on the rue du Pré aux Clercs, a discreet yet elegant street filled with beautiful houses and a small selection of designer boutiques? Or is it the establishment's elegant yet sober decor?
Regardless of this, it's content that counts: Bertrand Plasmans' second hotel, neighbouring his first, is both calm and chic.
Bertrand Plasmans, who learnt from Crillon, has created a hotel that is distinguished, warm and welcoming by recreating the magic formula used for his first establishment, le Saint Thomas d'Aquin, famous for its simple and discreet charm, with courteous service and elegant prices.
Upon opening the establishment's large doors, one is greeted with an intimate and classy atmosphere, enhanced by contemporary decor, full of charm and reserve, and plenty of history: chimneys, wooden floors and period furniture compliment contemporary fabrics. And indeed, what sets the tone for this establishment is its admirable choice of fabrics, having opted for sober cream and burgundy, as well as a very pale blue.
In fact, the 22 rooms at Hôtel Saint Vincent are calm and endearing, soft, unique, and inviting extravagance: one could spend the entire morning in bed with a good book.
Essential facilities, including a flat screen and a mini bar, are all catered for. The services are very Saint Germain des Prés: and although room service is not necessary in an area full of excellent restaurants, the shoe shiner guaranteed by la maison John Lobb is superb.
Everything is about style!
The clientele:
Whether it is the neighbouring publishing houses or the close by National Assembly, the shopaholics of Saint Germain des Prés or the seventh arrondissement's antique collectors, a large, elegant and cultured clientele has quickly found its habits at the heart of this quiet hotel with courteous service.
