Description
Ideally located at a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées and the Triumph Arch, the Raphael Hotel is a peaceful haven on the Kleber Avenue. The hotel is a few streets away from the top fashion stores and museums. The terrace offers our guests a unique panoramic view over Paris and the Eiffel
Tower.
The Raphael can boast itself for being a paragon of French style luxury.
After the opening of the Regina Hotel in 1900, and the Majestic Hotel in 1907, the founder Leonard Taubert persued his success story by opening the Raphael hotel especially designed for his V.I.P.clients.
The smaller size of the Raphael was intended to suit the needs of his famous guests in an intimate and traditional style. This family-owned hotel group is now headed by Ms Françoise Baverez who has perpetuated this tradition initiated by her grand father. It is not rare today to meet some state-men, political leaders, intellectuals, performers, actors, writers and journalists in the bar or the main lobby.
The Raphael Hotel remains the favourite meeting place of intellectuals and decision makers.
Hotel Raphael features 83 rooms and offers its clientele high quality amenities: four penthouses with breathtaking views, individual thermostat control air conditioning, high speed wireless Internet access (WIFI), twice daily maid service including evening turndown service, latest generation television sets, 24-hour room service, 24-hour hall porter personnel.
“La Salle à Manger“ is a medium-sized restaurant decorated with paintings inspired by Hubert ROBERT’s works. The white linen clad tables the silverware and the period crystal chandeliers give this place its exquisitely charming atmosphere. Hospitality and discretion are guaranteed. You can enjoy there a delicious meal prepared by the Chef Philip Delahaye who selects for you the season’s best products.
The “English Bar“, with its soft lights its discreetly elegant decor, its comfortable crimson velvet sofas and armchairs, is The perfect place to meet friends, or simply make a break in a busy day. Bertrand Merlette, the Head Barman, is known by all our regular guests as the master of the place.
Les “Jardins Plein Ciel “are located on the rooftop terrace of The Raphael and offer a magnificent 360 degree panoramic view over Paris. A seasonal catering is suggested for lunch or dinner. A chic “BBQ” can also be proposed, with a starter course and dessert buffet.
The rooftop garden is a unique place in Paris, with teak tables set among flowers, shrubs and fruit trees… A giant marble chessboard, attributed to Léonard Tauber, the founder of the Chess Club of France occupies a central place on the private terrace of the Raphael Suite.
The Raphael Hotel is situated at the very heart of the most famous Paris landmarks: The Champs Elysées, The Eiffel Tower, The Triumph Arch. Thanks to its exceptional location the Raphael Hotel is within easy reach to the major embassies.
For those who would like to visit an exhibition the Guimet Museum, The Palais de Tokyo, The Galliera Museum are at a walking distance.
