Description
The 19th-century Hotel du Louvre is located in Paris, France, opposite the Louvre and 1 block from the Tuileries Gardens.
Built on the orders of Napoleon III for the International Exhibition of 1855, the grand Hotel du Louvre has restored its facade and filled the interior with colour and contemporary design. The marble-floored lobby is decorated in crimson and greens, with a contemporary chandelier, velvet tapestry and suspended vases above reception.
Each of the four façades overlook a famous Parisian landmark - the Louvre Museum, the Opéra Garnier, the Comédie Française and Place du Palais Royal. This area is rich in history and the hotel's Second Empire architecture is mirrored by the surrounding buildings in this special district of Paris.
Hôtel du Louvre is a perfect place to stay for both business travellers and tourists. This classical yet modern hotel maintains a high standard of service and offers a wide range of facilities including a business centre, a fitness centre as well as a brasserie and a bar. Benefit from a great starting point for exploring Paris.
A bright and lively brasserie with pale yellow walls and dark wood with gold fittings, Brasserie du Louvre has a typical Parisian atmosphere. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served daily.
The Hotel du Louvre stands in the heart of old Paris. A culturally rich location with easy access to the fashion and business districts. Step from the Brasserie du Louvre and immediately opposite is the Comédie Française, the Louvre Museum is so close that exhibits can be observed from the windows in some of the rooms and suites!
The Opera Garnier is set to one side of the hotel and the Palais Royal to the other. The area is busy with many brasseries and cafes and it is just a few minutes walk to Galeries Lafayette and the sophisticated boutiques of the Rue St Honoré.
