Description
Looking out over the lagoon and its myriad of islands, Hotel Danieli enjoys one of the most prestigious locations in Venice, just a few steps from Saint Mark's square.
Shopping, museums, outdoor cafés, and the most interesting attractions Venice has to offer are just outside Hotel Danieli's doors.
Remarkable and luxurious, Hotel Danieli is made up of 3 beautiful Venetian palaces dating back to the 14th, 19th and 20th centuries, featuring hand-made Murano glass chandeliers, precious rugs, hand-carved marble columns, and many original antique pieces. Of these, the 20th century Palazzo Danieli Excelsior was recently refurbished, its interiors restyled by renowned design architect Jacques Garcia.
On the top floor of the Danieli Excelsior Palace the newly refurbished Terrazza Danieli Restaurant is a truly romantic venue where all senses are awakened in a historic setting. Delight on an endless variety of tempting dishes and enjoy one of the most exclusive views in Venice: the same viewpoint from which Venetian noblemen would once watch the arrival of merchant ships from the Orient.
Named to Condé Nast Traveller's 2005 Gold List Reserve, the Hotel Danieli has been the luxury hotel preferred by discerning visitors to Venice for generations.
Besides the ancient Dandolo Palace, the hotel today includes the Danielino: an impressive building situated at its right, and the Casa Nuova: a 19th century building, which has been completely restored, on the other side.
Despite their differences, the 3 buildings, perfectly connected by covered bridges, create a particular atmosphere as they unite an evocative ambience, the result being a successful blending of the best in modern comfort and refined luxury.
The 193 double rooms, 29 single rooms and 11 suites are equipped with all modern facilities. The 81 rooms in the 'Danielino' are all furnished in an empire style with walls in pastel shades such as pale pink, soft blue and yellow with framed stuccoes. Several non-smoking rooms are located in this building.
The ancient Dandolo Palace greets its guests in 91 rooms, each unique. In fact all the rooms in this building are different as they are furnished with antique pieces, as if they were in a private palace.
The Casa Nuova has 55 guest rooms, decorated in a Venetian style with lacquered furniture bordered in soft colours and tapestry embellished with blue and pink flowers. All bathrooms are in marble and recall the colours of the bedrooms.
Set on Hotel Danieli's top floor, the newly renovated Terrazza Danieli Restaurant offers typical Venetian cuisine combined with Mediterranean dishes and oriental touches.
Awaken your senses with this refined cuisine while you admire magnificent views of lagoons, San Giorgio Island and romantic sunsets over the Grand Canal.
Outdoor seating is available from May until October (weather permitting).
In the hall of the hotel you can find Bar Dandolo, a charming setting that offers live music as you enjoy classic drinks, barman specialities, informal snacks and English afternoon tea.
The terrace Bar is open in the afternoon from June until September.
During the summer season, the famous private beaches of the Lido - along with tennis, golf and boating at the hotel's sister properties, The Westin Excelsior and Hotel des Bains - are just a complimentary boat ride away.
