This Renaissance-style building belonged to the Emperor Rudolf II (1552-1612) and once served as the residence of the legendary Astronomer Tycho de Brahe (1546-1601).

After the refurbishment of its interior and the service areas, our restaurant opened its doors again in February 2008.

The restaurant Terasa U Zlaté Studně is located on the fourth floor of the U Zlaté studně Hotel, offering superb views that will convince you that Prague is really the city of one hundred spires. The restaurant's new interior is the work of the Italian architects Lorenzo Carmelini and Katrin Herden. They have again used their typical style, combining modern design with the elements of the Renaissance era.

Our restaurant has 26 seats and additional 38 seats are available on the roof terrace during the summer months. For group reservations we have 40 seats in the interior section and 60 seats on the roof terrace. After your lunch you can enjoy a walk in the gardens of Prague Castle (during opening hours). The direct entrance to the gardens from the restaurant terrace used to serve as a private entrance for the Emperor Rudolf II.

The Golden Well hotel is located below the walls of Prague Castle and is surrounded by the castle's rose gardens in the quaint Mala Strana or "Little Quarter" of Prague. This beautiful historic hotel is just a short walk away from some of Prague's most impressive sights, including the Charles Bridge, the Royal Gardens, St. Nicholas Church and the Old Town Square. During the summer months our guests are privileged to use the Emperor's private entrance, which leads directly to the Royal Gardens.

From Prague-Ruzyne International Airport:
- Bus number 119 (direction "Dejvicka") from outside the departure hall.
- After about 20 minutes get off at the Dejvicka bus stop, which is the subway station of the green line A.
- Take a train heading towards Depo Hostivar and get off at the Malostranska station (2 stops).

From the main train station (Hlavni Nadrazi):
- Take the red subway line C, direction Haje, from right inside the train station.
- Get off at the Muzeum station, which is the next stop.
- Switch to the green line A direction Dejvicka
- Get off at the Malostranska station.
- You will exit onto a small walled square with a fountain in the centre, cross it and turn left once you are on Waldstejnska street.
- Walk up the street always keeping right
- Once you come to the small triangular square, walk to the very top of it on Snemovni street, leaving the Waldstejska on your left.
- Turn right.
U Zlate Studne is a short blind street where you will come to after continuously keeping on the right side for the entire walk from the subway.
