Description
Welcome to Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus. On the European bank of the Bosphorus – which flows through Istanbul’s history and heart – Four Seasons gives a 19th-century palace a fresh, eclectic spirit. Alluring facilities include a chic urban spa. Fine restaurants and pools by the quayside overlook the Asian shore. And all are awash in the light, space and excitement of this water’s-edge location.
"Four Seasons has supplemented its Sultanahmet property with an outpost right on the Bosphorus – zap open the remote-control blinds to reveal this stunning stretch of water. If you can tear yourself away from the view, there’s a lavish spa with three hammams, and a gleaming marble terrace with a pool and a private dock for guests’ yachts. Don’t have one? Speedboats are on hand to whisk you to the swanky coastal clubs. Financial Times - How to Spend It Magazine, May 2, 2009
Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus offers 170 guest rooms including 25 suites. Bright and airy, blending Ottoman design details and contemporary furnishings, they open to balmy sea breezes and a variety of waterfront, garden and city views. Nearly a quarter of the rooms offer views across the legendary Strait to the hills of Asia.
Standard room features include a large plasma television and stereo system with CD and DVD players. Additional amenities include a fully stocked private bar, an in-room safe and dual-line telephones with voice mail. All rooms are equipped for wired and wireless high-speed Internet access.
A lavish marble bathroom offers a deep soaking tub, separate glass-enclosed shower, and a WC with telephone in a separate alcove.
Aqua
Overlooking the Bosphorus, Aqua showcases fine Mediterranean cuisine, with Italian and Turkish specialities and signature dishes that feature fish and lamb. A breakfast buffet features international offerings, while lunch and dinner offer an à la carte menu accompanied by an exceptional range of fine wines. A children's menu is available.
The Spa takes inspiration from the enduring mystique and unique qualities of the hammam (Turkish bath), famous since Ottoman times. Serenity, purity and cleansing embody all facets of the guest experience. The 2,100-square-metre (22,605-square-foot) facility offers 10 luxurious treatment rooms (including a private spa suite for two), steam rooms, saunas, men’s and women’s hammams and a breathtaking skylit indoor pool.
Nurturing and personal Four Seasons care ensures a relaxing, renewing journey that honours ancient Near Eastern tradition, while celebrating modern Western sophistication.
